In December 1999, Dinesh obtained his Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) designation and received the Student’s Accountancy Centre award for 2nd place overall in Trinidad and Tobago. He is a practicing member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Trinidad and Tobago (ICATT).

He joined the PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Trinidad and Tobago firm in 2000 and remained there for a period of thirteen years (until 2013). At PwC, he managed audits of multinational companies, local conglomerates and companies in the SME sector. His experience spans multiple industries including banking, insurance, manufacturing, oil & gas, real estate, retail, distribution and services. At PwC, he also served in several internal functional firm positions in the areas of Quality Control, Technical, Human Resources and Learning and Education.

In January 2014, Dinesh branched out on his own and formed DSB Financial Solutions Limited, an accounting practice offering a range of services including accounting, taxation, advisory and audit services.

In November 2015, Dinesh obtained the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation from the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA). He is an ICATT Council Member and Vice Chair of the Auditing and Accounting Standards Committee. Throughout his tenure at ICATT, he has served in many roles, including the position of Vice President and on several sub-committees including the Membership Committee (now referred to as the Licensing Committee), Small & Medium-Sized Practitioners Committee, Members & Student Relations Committee and Taxation Committee.

In addition to the completion of several audit, accounting and taxation services to clients, Dinesh has lead the following advisory projects to date:

• Currently advises a listed entity and a financial institution on technical accounting matters
• Lead the implementation of IFRS 9, 15 and 16 at several entities
• Prepared valuations, developed cash flows, financial projections and advised on business strategies and financial restructuring plans for various entities
• Designed and implemented management reporting systems, prepared accounting manuals and revamped internal control frameworks for various entities
